CRUK/MRC Oxford Institute for Radiation Oncology Symposium 2016: Personalising Radiotherapy

The Annual Symposium organised by the CRUK/MRC Oxford Institute for Radiation Oncology this year will explore the theme Personalising Radiotherapy. The meeting, expected to attract about 100 delegates, will be hosted by Wolfson College, Oxford, providing an excellent environment for scientific exchange and networking.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Patient stratification for radiotherapy by molecular markers
  • Personalising treatment through image-guided radiotherapy
  • Lung cancer as a model system for personalised radiotherapy
  • The use of protons to personalise radiotherapy
  • Imaging for personalisation of radiotherapy.

We hope to attract a diverse range of delegates including PhD students and postdocs, Clinical Fellows and NHS Oncologists, Physicists and Radiographers.

We have an exciting line-up of 14 invited speakers from Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Liverpool, London and Manchester as well as speakers from Oxford, both from within our Institute and from wider University and local NHS Trust. In addition to the invited speaker programme, proffered paper slots and a poster session will be included to showcase the work of some of our younger researchers.
