Alexandr A Khrapichev, Postdoctoral Researcher

Alexandr is working on developing MRI pulse sequences and data processing software. He also provides technical support for the group and collaborative research projects.

Alexandr graduated from Saint Petersburg State University, Russian Federation, in 1999 with a Master of Science (MSc) in Physics. He commenced his PhD at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand at the School of Chemical and Physical Sciences under the supervision of Professor Paul T. Callaghan. His research focussed on the investigation of mass transport through porous media by nuclear magnetic resonance. Alexandr was admitted to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in December 2003. 
Prior to joining Professor Nicola Sibson’s Experimental Neuroimaging Group (ENG) at the Department of Oncology in 2008, Alexandr also worked in Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen, Germany (2003), The MacDiarmid Institute for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology, New Zealand (2003-2004), and University of New Brunswick Canada (2004-2005), as well as at Department of Physiology Anatomy and Genetics (2005-2008) as a research scientist.
