Video competition winners visit the Department of Oncology

The Department of Oncology's video competition was held over the Michaelmas Term (2016) and the top three were invited to visit the Department of Oncology in April.

The competition was won by Sarah Lua, Lena Albot, Sarah Mok, and Jassy Panesar from Wycombe Abbey.  They submitted a video describing advances in immunotherapy.

The winners and their teacher, Zoe Edwards, pictured left were presented with their prizes by Elizabeth Peachey (far left) from the Central Admissions Office who sponsored the competition as one way to reach out and inspire an interest in Oxford amongst school students

After the visit Zoe Edwards commented:

Thank you so much for such a wonderfully successful visit to your Department last week. [...] It was a delightful day and the girls had a buzz about them on the journey back and my brain felt deliciously exercised!

The second and third places were taken by Laura Hudson (far right) of Guildford High School with a video on Tumour Hypoxia and by Chandra Nagaraj and Thurza Naign of Bancrofts School in London with a video on DNA damage.
